Paris-based banking giant BNP Paribas to set up PH headquarters in Uptown Bonifacio

October 19, 2026

Europe’s largest bank is the latest Fortune Global 500 company to choose Megaworld’s flagship township

BNP Paribas, a Fortune Global 500 banking and financial institution based in Paris, France, is setting up its Philippine operations in Uptown Bonifacio, making it the latest major global company to establish its presence in property giant Megaworld’s flagship township in Taguig City.

BNP Paribas Solutions Philippines will occupy office space within Uptown Eastgate, currently the biggest office tower in terms of gross leasable area in the entire Bonifacio Global City (BGC).

The new facility will serve as a strategic delivery center supporting BNP Paribas’ global shared services for its Corporate and Institutional Banking business worldwide.

BNP Paribas joins a growing roster of Fortune Global 500 companies and leading multinational firms that have chosen Uptown Bonifacio as headquarters for their Philippine and regional operations. These include JPMorganChase, which fully occupies two office towers in the township covering about 140,000 square meters, as well as Google, Tesla, Coca-Cola, and Reckitt Mead Johnson, among other global companies.

Founded in France and headquartered in Paris, BNP Paribas is ranked No. 58 on the 2026 Fortune Global 500, and is currently the world’s 7th largest bank with over USD 3.2 trillion in managed assets. The banking group has more than 180,000 employees across 64 countries and territories, underscoring the scale of the global financial institution that will become the latest to locate their operations within a Megaworld township.

“BNP Paribas’ arrival in Uptown Bonifacio reflects the confidence of global companies in the township as a strategic location for their operations. Master-planned business districts within Megaworld townships provide access to talent, connectivity, mobility, and amenities that support productivity and employee experience. This gives companies the advantage of operating in a complete environment designed around both business and people,” says Francis Roxas, head of Megaworld Global Offices.

The 31-story, LEED Gold-certified Uptown Eastgate offers around 100,000 square meters of gross leasable area (GLA). It features floor plates of up to 5,000 square meters, among the largest in the market, along with smart building systems, modern facilities, and sustainable design features suited for multinational companies and shared services operations.

Uptown Bonifacio currently hosts more than 30 major local and multinational companies employing over 60,000 professionals across seven office towers. The township forms part of Megaworld’s extensive office portfolio in BGC, where the company remains the largest office developer and landlord. Currently, Megaworld has nearly 900,000 square meters of office space in the entire district alone—more than half of its over 1.7-million square meter office portfolio nationwide.

Megaworld’s office leasing activity has also remained strong in 2026, with the company closing around 200,000 square meters of office lease transactions during the first nine months of the year, further reflecting the strong and increasing demand for its office developments across Metro Manila and the provinces.

The latest transaction further strengthens Uptown Bonifacio’s position as one of the country’s key business destinations for global companies, while continuing to reinforce Megaworld’s leadership in the Philippine office sector.
