Press Release

Megaworld hikes dividends by 25% to record P3.8B

August 13, 2026

Property giant Megaworld Corporation declared its highest-ever cash dividend of P0.11733697 per share, 25% higher than P0.09395845 per share in August 2025. The declaration is equivalent to P3.8 billion and represents a dividend yield of 5.2% based on Megaworld’s closing price of P2.27 as of August 11, 2026.

The cash dividend will be payable on September 9, 2026 to stockholders of record as of August 27, 2026.

Megaworld has increased its cash dividend every year for the past three years, compounding at 22% annually. This year's declaration equals 18% of 2025 net income attributable to parent of P21.0 billion, a step-up from 16% a year earlier. The company’s profits are rising and the payout ratio is rising with them, lifting shareholder returns on both fronts.

The growing share of recurring income in Megaworld’s earnings mix provides greater stability and visibility to cash flows, strengthening the company’s capacity to meaningfully increase dividends while continuing to invest in growth.

As of end-June 2026, Megaworld had P22.8 billion in cash, up from P20.8 billion at end-2025. Net debt-to-equity improved to 0.24x from 0.27x, marking a second consecutive year of deleveraging and keeping Megaworld among the least leveraged in the sector. The company has improved its balance sheet while sustaining capital expenditures and expanding shareholder returns.

“This record dividend reflects Megaworld’s continued growth and our commitment to share more of the value we create with our shareholders. With an expanding recurring income platform and a prudently managed balance sheet, we are well-positioned to deliver sustained, meaningful increases in shareholder returns while advancing Megaworld’s next phase of growth,” says Francisco C. Canuto, chief finance officer, Megaworld.

Megaworld continues to pursue its long-term leasing expansion strategy, targeting two million square meters of office gross leasable area (GLA) and one million square meters of retail GLA by 2030, bringing total leasing GLA to three million square meters.
