Megaworld launches first 3D Augmented Reality in the Real Estate Industry
June 5, 2014
Megaworld, the country’s leading real estate developer, introduces a 3D augmented reality in showcasing residential scale model meant for smart phone and tablet users, a first in the Philippine real estate industry.
The augmented reality is an application that creates a simulation of rendering via video feed from a camera, and allows mobile and tablet users to visualize a residential scale in 3D form.
During the official launching held at Skye Lounge in Bonifacio Global City, Megaworld featured through 3D augmented reality its latest residential development in the 50-hectare McKinley Hill – The Florence. It is the newest gated-garden residential community inspired by the beauty of Florence in Italy. This three-tower residential enclave has a curvilinear façade layout, with white and grey color scheme, that creates a modern distinction of an upscale living.
“The 3D augmented reality is a technological breakthrough of Megaworld, aside for being the pioneer of building townships. In showcasing the intricate design of The Florence through this tool, it is important to us to be on top of our game in engaging our guests and clients to a whole new interactive print experience,” says Noli D. Hernandez, SVP for sales and marketing, Megaworld.
To view The Florence in 3D form, one must get the QR code of The Florence at www.megaworldatthefort.com. Then using any smart phone or tablet, search “Inglobe Technologies” at the app store, and download and install “AR-media.” Download ‘The Florence’ model then open the file using ‘AR-media’ – there should a notification that will appear alerting the user to a new model through a library. After that, the user must refresh the library, set ‘The Florence’ as the default model by clicking the star option and return to the app home. Point the device at the QR code and tap to augment.
