Megaworld Corporation was incorporated in the Philippines on August 24, 1989. It was converted to a public company on June 15, 1994.

What is your policy on foreign currency transactions?

The accounting records of Group are maintained in Philippine pesos. Foreign currency transactions during the year are translated into Philippine pesos exchanges rates which approximate those prevailing on transaction dates. Foreign currency monetary assets and liabilities at the balance sheet date are translated into Philippine pesos at exchange rates which approximate those existing on that date. Exchange gains or losses are recognized in income for the period.
